General The scope of work consists of designing 2.75 miles of new bike paths in Lafitte from existing Wetland Trace northward toward LA Highway 45 and then eastward along the highway. The intention of the project is to promote tourism and commerce by installing new bike paths and connecting the bike path to the existing Wetland Trace boardwalk, thereby expanding accessibility to natural features further up Bayou Barataria and along LA highway 45. Jefferson Parish anticipates the project will require the following supplemental services: traffic engineer, landscape architect, geotechnical services, land surveying, and resident inspection. Compensation Compensation for the required design services will be made on an hourly rate basis or a fixed fee basis, or a combination of both, depending on scope and complexity of the work. The Parish reserves the right to determine the method of payment (hourly or fixed) for each individual assignment.
