QA date :- 11/13/2025 at 2pm The project consists of replacing the baseball and softball backstops and other fencing and associated site work at Southaven High School. Project Location: 735 Rasco Road W., Southaven, MS 38641 Bidders are required to submit proposals on forms provided with the specifications and must include Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. This security is forfeited as liquidated damages by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute the contract, and post a Performance Bond as specified. The Mississippi Contractors Act of 1985 applies to all bids in excess of $50,000.00, requiring a Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Contractors. Bids must be received by the scheduled closing time and cannot be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after closing. Partial sets of plans and specifications will not be issued. Bidders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with site conditions and are urged to attend a pre-bid conference. Bids on the Project must be received on or before the period scheduled for the project and no bid withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the project for a period of forty-five (45) days. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000.00 by a Prime or Subcontractor to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance, or related work must comply with the Mississippi Contractors Act of 1985, by securing a Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Contractors. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all projects and to waive informalities. Notice to Proceed which will be issued on or about January 1, 2026. The outfield fence and site work for both the baseball and softball fields shall be substantially complete by February 27th 2026. The remainder of the work shall not be able to recommence until the baseball/softball season is over on April 30 th 2026. Substantial Completion for this portion of the work shall be achieved on or before July 15th, 2026. Final Completion for all the work shall be achieved on or before August 1st, 2026, subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract.
