Renovation of an educational facility in Morgantown, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors to replace and commission the outdoor dry coolers serving the glycol loop at One Waterfront Place (OWP) in Morgantown, West Virginia. The project is located at 1 Waterfront Place and supports critical building and data center loads that must remain operational throughout construction. The basis for this RFB is for the Bidder, referred to herein as the "Supplier," to remove two existing dry coolers and furnish, install, and commission new equipment and appurtenances as indicated in the construction documents. Work includes new equipment pads and anchorage, exterior glycol piping and valves, insulation, electrical feeders and disconnects, and full integration with the building automation system. The Supplier shall perform all phasing and tie-ins in a manner that maintains continuous service to critical spaces. The Supplier shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to deliver a complete and fully functional system in accordance with the drawings, specifications, and industry standard of care. Coordination with WVU's controls vendor and with any adjacent or related projects at OWP is required to achieve the design intent, facilitate commissioning, and ensure a safe and orderly installation. In the event the Due Date changes, it will be posted via addendums on the Q&A Board; the date will not change on this description. Question Submission Close Date 10/27/2025 12:00 PM EDT The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contact shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion. a. Substantial Completion shall be: March 30, 2026 b. Final Completion shall be: April 30, 2026 c. Final Completion shall be when project site is de-mobilized and all project documents listed in Close-Out section of the specifications has been sent to the Owner. Liquidated Damages shall be Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day ofdelay in achieving Final Completion.
