Sealed lump sum Bids will be received for the construction of upgrades to lift stations in the wastewater collection system. The project includes pumps, pipe, valves, coating, and associated wiring and components within the Waupaca Chain O'Lakes Sanitary District service area, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. Bid Security in the amount of not less than 5 percent nor more than 10 percent of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to the Contract Price. The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 62.15, 66.0901, 66.0903, and 779.15 of the Wisconsin Statutes. DBEs, including MBEs and WBEs, are encouraged to submit bid proposals. The successful bidder will be required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and sub-contractors performing on contracts funded in whole or in part with federal funds in excess of $2,000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, as determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area.
