The Lake Alfred City Hall consists of approximately 5,500 square feet. The area currently includes two-stall women's and men's bathrooms, each with three toilets, one urinal, and vanity-style sinks. The current bathroom is not ADA-compliant. To transition to an ADAcompliant facility, the proposed project is to modify the existing space and create two ADAcompliant restrooms: one ADA male with an additional urinal, one ADA female, and one unisex. This addition will provide the required public restroom facilities to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities. Scope of Work - Upon commencement of construction, it shall not be interrupted until completed due to this being a public city facility. One Month o Demo and remove all existing restroom components before the commencement of new construction. o Install all new plumbing and any new electrical wiring necessary. o Install new exhaust ventilation in both bathrooms, including controls, ductwork, and roof. o Insulate the interior walls in both restrooms before the installation of new sheetrock. o Install all new ADA equipment: white handicapped toilet, white sink with matte black lever-style hardware, a matte black 36" grab bar, a 42" grab bar, a mirror, a towel dispenser, soap dispenser, and a toilet paper dispenser, insulate under-sink piping, a coat hook, an ADA-compliant threshold, new door with lever-style hardware in all restrooms. All equipment and installations must adhere to the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design and the Florida Building Code. The city will provide ADA specifications for the installation height and placement requirements. o Replace existing light switches with automatic light sensors. o Replace existing lighting with LED lighting in both restrooms. o Tile the restroom floors with a tile choice approved by the City of Lake Alfred. o Tile from the floor up to 1/2 of the wall with tile choice approved by the City of Lake Alfred. Wet wall tiled all the way up. o Finish the remaining drywall. o The City of Lake Alfred shall approve drywall paint color and quality.
