Site work for a water / sewer project in Lake Alfred, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Lake Alfred invites interested engineering consulting firms with experience in water treatment plant (WTP) design to include water treatment processes to stabilize the water quality by implementing chemical polishing and storage for blending and flow equalization and maintain the pressure in the current potable water system by boosting the flow rate with a high service pump station. Additionally, interested engineering consulting firms and specialty subconsultants shall have experience in successful design and construction of a Lower Floridan Aquifer (LFA) well and advanced WTP design, including various advanced treatment technologies. PRE-SUBMISSION CONFERENCE: N/A Questions should be submitted electronically via email: BHines@mylakealfred.com and must be received by 12:00 pm local time on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The engineering consulting firm shall have experience in pursuing and obtaining funding through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program, and managing projects that are SRF-funded. The project will be located at 1210 Lock Street in Lake Alfred, Polk County, Florida 33850. The source of the AWS will be delivered through the interconnect with City of Winter Haven located northwest from Lock Street and Lake George Road. Method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
