Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and for outdoor lighting for a bridge / tunnel.
Site Directions: Bridge is located on Rapid Lightning Creek Road in Bonner County, Idaho. Bridge removal and replacement of bridge key 30225. Existing Bridge Key Number 30225 is in Bonner County, Idaho and carries Rapid Lighting Creek Road over Rapid Lighting Creek. The bridge is owned and maintained by Bonner County and is located approximately 12.9 miles north east of Ponderay, ID and approximately 5.2 miles east from the intersection of Colburn Culver Road and Rapid Lighting Creek Road. This proposal is for the contra ctor to remove the existing timber bridge with timber pile abutments and replace it with a single span steel girder bridge with steel abutments supported on piles. The road will be closed during construction and tra ic will be detoured. Additional work includes roadway appr oach construction and permitted streamalterations including placing riprap.
