The project is awarded to Charles Marandino,LLC in the amount of 157,451,20 The project generally consists of the construction and installation of sidewalk along a short section of South Chester Avenue in Delran Township. Approximate construction quantities include 280 square yards of concrete sidewalk, 330 square feet of modular block retaining wall, 235 linear feet of concrete curb, and associated site restoration work. Bids must be furnished on the proposal sheets included, enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Mayor and Township Council and plainly marked with the name, address of bidder, contract number, and title. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond of not less than ten percent of the bid, but no less than $500.00 and no more than $20,000.00, as a guarantee for contract execution and furnishing of a performance bond if awarded. Each bid must also include a Certificate of Experience, Certificate of Equipment, and a Consent of Surety from a licensed bonding company. The Township reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities and to award the contract based on available funds. Bidders are required to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Affirmative Action, disclosure provisions, the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Business Registration requirements, Worker Health and Safety Act, and OSHA requirements. No bidder may withdraw their bid for sixty days after the bid opening. The successful bidder must furnish a surety company bond for the full contract amount for faithful performance. The Township Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids if deemed in the Township's best interest.
