The Passaic Public School District is seeking proposals from qualified professional design consultants to prepare, present, and submit a Major Amendment to its Long Range Facility Plan (LRFP) for the planning cycle 2026-2031. The scope includes comprehensive facility assessments, enrollment projections, demographic analysis, and coordination with the NJ Department of Education (NJDOE). The selected firm must also include services of a certified demographer as part of this engagement. The most recent LRFP major amendment for the District was approved on August 30, 2021. In accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-4(a), school districts are required to amend their LRFPs at least once every five years to reflect current enrollment projections, building capacities, and health and safety conditions. To meet this requirement, the Passaic City School District intends to complete and adopt its updated LRFP by June 2026. The selected Design Consultant (hereafter, DC) must be fully familiar with NJDOE reporting and analysis requirements and be able to assist the District in identifying and justifying its facility needs over the next five years. This includes reviewing educational program changes, grade realignments, and site developments since the 2021 LRFP. This should also include an assessment of all facilities\buildings and their systems, identifying deficiencies and prioritizing them along with an order-of-magnitude estimate.
