Furnishing and delivery of 2025 sanitary and storm sewer system improvements at various locations. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal form provided. A Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a Surety/Bonding Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, a Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, must accompany each proposal to insure signing of the contract. Bidders must also submit a Certificate of Surety from a Surety Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, stating they will provide the contractor with a Performance Bond of the total price bid. The successful contractor will be required to submit a Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond. Proposal, Proposal Guarantee, and Certificate of Surety must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Passaic, Division of Purchasing, bearing the name and address of the bidder and clearly marked "BID" with the contract title. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. The City Council has the right to consider bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. In order to be given consideration, written requests for interpretation must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids.
