Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Amherst, Nova Scotia. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and playground / park / athletic field.
The work will generally include the development of new roadways and industrial lots on undeveloped lands adjacent to the existing Amherst Industrial Park and Trans Canada Highway. The desired outcome of this project is to establish an efficient and marketable lot and roadway layout that maximizes usable area and servicing efficiency. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded a professional consultant to provide design services. The project is now transitioning through preliminary development phases. The first phase of design includes site assessments, geotechnical investigations, conceptual planning, preliminary subdivision layout, and traffic analysis. Start of the second development phase including project working drawings for a complete tender ready package that shall include; the final design of municipal infrastructure including roadways, stormwater management, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, and all other related infrastructure necessary to support the development is anticipated in fall 2026. Timelines of further project development will be established in late 2026. Further update at that time. *Budget is unreleased.
