Each bid must be submitted, in triplicate, on the prescribed Proposal forms. The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to provide the following project elements: clarifier ferrous metals and fiberglass recoating, including stillwell, rake arms, scum skimming trough, catwalk structural steel, fiberglass launder covers, fiberglass baffle, and all other interior ferrous metals. All work must be performed in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. The applicator must have a minimum AMPP Basic Coating Certification Inspector on staff for at least six months. THE WORK IS GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS FURNISHING ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, TRANSPORTATION, SERVICES, AND INCIDENTALS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE THE OWNER WITH THE FOLLOWING PROJECT ELEMENTS: o CLARIFIER FERROUS METALS, AND FIBERGLASS RECOATING, INCLUDING: o STILLWELL o RAKE ARMS o SCUM SKIMMING THROUGH o CATWALK STRUCTURAL STEEL o FIBERGLASS LAUNDER COVERS o FIBERGLASS BAFFLE, o ALL OTHER INTERIOR FERROUS METALS o ALL WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. o APPLICATOR MUST HAVE A MINIMUM AMPP BASIC COATING CERTIFICATION INSPECTOR ON STAFF FOR NO LESS THAN 6 MONTHS. Bids must be completed on the provided bid form and be in compliance with the bidding documents. Each bid must be submitted in triplicate on the proposal forms and accompanied by bid security on the prescribed form, payable to the City of New Port Richey, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the base bid amount. The envelope must be clearly marked with the proposer's name, full address, and the project name and number. The successful bidder will be required to provide the necessary additional bonds for the faithful performance of the contract. All bonds, insurance contracts, and certificates must be executed by or countersigned by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company with a business presence in Florida, and the company must be duly licensed and qualified to do business in Florida. The successful bidder must hold or obtain the required contractors and business licenses as mandated by state statutes. Bidders may be required to submit information regarding performance record and ability to perform the specified work before contract award. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any reason, including non-responsiveness or if the bidder is deemed unqualified or of doubtful financial ability, or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria. The City also reserves the right to reject any proposal not conforming to the contract documents' intent and to postpone award of the contract for up to 120 days from the proposal opening date.
