The Mount Joy Borough Authority will receive sealed bids online for the Fairview Street Water Main Replacement project. The project generally comprises the installation of approximately 1,640 LF of 8" DICL water main, 760 LF of 6" water main, 75 LF of Bore and Jack railroad crossing, two line-stops, gate valves, hydrant assemblies, water service connections, temporary water service and sanitary sewer service, and restoration to paved and non-paved areas disturbed by construction operations. _ A single contract will be issued for the project: General Construction. A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 120 days from the date of Bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. See Instructions to Bidders for other provisions on the time available for acceptance of Bids. All Bidders must bid on all items listed on the Bid Form. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. The successful Bidder shall substantially complete the project within 180 calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The Mount Joy Borough Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids.
