The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, travel time, equipment, and all other work incidental thereto necessary or required to provide the complete pruning of street and parkland trees in the borough of Queens in community boards 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 for the City of New York Parks & Recreation. Responses must be submitted via PASSPort, New York City's online procurement portal. Vendors must create an account within the PASSPort system to respond. All bidders are strongly advised to logon to the Microsoft TEAMS portal before 2:45PM to avoid disrupting the bidding process (i.e.: the reading of the bids). The bid opening will begin at 3:00PM and be recorded. ACCO personnel will conduct the bid opening and will announce each submitted bids and the accompanying hard copy submission. a. The following work may be performed under this Contract: 1. Block Pruning 2. Utility Clearance Topping b. All work will be prescribed by the Borough Forestry Manager c. The Contractor shall secure the activity area to prevent entrance of those whose presence is not authorized by the Borough Forestry Manager. MUTCD guidelines are to be adapted for use on park paths and interior roads. d. The Contractor shall perform the Work in a manner that minimizes the accumulation dust and debris. e. All vegetative debris generated from pruning under this Contract shall be chipped on site and removed from the site unless the Borough Forestry Manager specifies otherwise. f. The Contractor shall avoid undue interference with Agency employees and avoid undue inconvenience to the general public. g. The Contractor shall take necessary precautions to prevent the loss or damage of property, private or public, and personal harm. h. The Contractor shall observe all Agency rules and regulations. i. The Contractor shall be responsible for securing all applicable permits prior to the start of the Work j. All equipment shall be clean and in good working, operational condition. The Contractor shall maintain and clean equipment during the course of the Contract term. The Contractor shall remove and replace any equipment that is in unsatisfactory condition or unsuitable for the required work as deemed by the Agency. k. All out-of-service equipment shall be repaired or replaced within two (2) business days or less. The Contractor shall furnish the name, address, and phone number of a repair center that is available to repair the Contractor's equipment twenty-four (24) hours a day. l. At all times while performing Work pursuant to this Contract, the Contractor's employees shall wear identification and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for the work being performed.
