Demolition and site work for a residential development in Alliance, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The work involves the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for and incidental to the demolition and removal of all buildings, wells, sheds, fences, fence posts, porches, steps, walks, curbs, drives paved with brick, stone, asphalt, concrete, etc. and any other frame or masonry structure which is on the surface or extends above the surface; all rubbish, garbage, tires, junk vehicles and miscellaneous debris inside the structure or within the property line boundaries of the parcel on which the building to be demolished is situated, the removal of shrubs, the filling of all cellars, and the straight line grading of the parcels after demolition of the structure, including vacant lots and also the capping and sealing of all publicly owned utilities, and all septic systems are to be pumped and the systems caved in and filled with suitable material, or as modified in the request for proposal. Demolition and Removal Procedures: a) Prior to the starting of the work, the Contractor will be responsible for having all utilities including electric, telephone, water and gas service for each building cut off in strict accordance with the requirements of the City and the utility companies involved. The Contractor shall cause to be disconnected and properly sealed the sewer facilities at the property line according to the City of Alliance Water and Wastewater Distribution Department. The Contractor shall be obligated to make all arrangements necessary for the securing of a supply of water to carry out all provisions of the contract without additional expenses to the City. b) The Contractor shall remove the entire building, including all walls, floors, ceiling and foundation supports of all kinds to the basement level. The existing ground level shall be considered to be a straight line drawn between the front highest present elevation and the rear alley or lot line elevation. c) Unless otherwise specified, no building shall be removed from the premises as a whole. d) In cases where basements exist, the Contractor shall break up the basement floor in such a manner as to permit the drainage of water. Basement walls, both exterior and interior, shall be removed to basement floor level or broken up in pieces not larger than six (6) inches in diameter and incorporated with suitable fill material. Basements shall be backfilled with clean fill material. The Contractor shall furnish the required amount of fill material for completing and filling in of basements at his/her own expense.
