Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Milliken, Colorado. Completed plans call for the construction of a 9,600-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

Reference Number 0000402593 The proposed storage building will be constructed on town-owned property located just west of the existing Public Works Facility at 2951 Ash Street. A project location map of the area is included in Appendix A. The Town of Milliken requests a structure similar to the one depicted in the attached photograph included in Appendix A. The desired storage building should approximately measure 9,600 square feet and feature seven bays constructed with concrete capable of supporting heavy equipment. The design should allow for potential downsizing to accommodate budget considerations. The project scope includes all structural elements, flatwork, heating systems, commercial overhead doors (14' x 14') with operators, walk doors, electrical and lighting infrastructure both interior and exterior, gas service connections for interior heating and a backup emergency generator. The proposed building footprint is approximately 80 feet by 120 feet. Scope of Work 1. The selected Design/Build team shall develop and construct a functional storage building in accordance with the overall objectives specified in this RFP. All design drawings must be submitted for review and approval by the Town prior to the commencement of construction. Please anticipate minor adjustments and revisions based on the review and input of Town staff. 2. The Design/Build team shall furnish all calculations, drawings, and specifications for review and approval by the Town's building inspector. 3. The Design/Build team shall develop and coordinate the project schedule prior to the commencement of construction and throughout each construction phase. The Town may request periodic construction progress meetings. The Design/Build team project manager is expected to attend all scheduled project meetings. Progress meetings will serve as a platform to assess work developments. Agenda items may include: a. Completed activities since the previous meeting b. Planned upcoming activities c. Strategies for addressing unresolved or anticipated issues Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Contractors License Required - Installation Required - Insurance Required - Warranty Information Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % Question Deadline 11/19/2025 at 5:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online No, Questions regarding this RFP shall be referred, in writing, to Jon Rabas, Streets Director, by e-mail at JRabas@millikenco.gov. Proposal Awarded: January 14, 2026 Completion Deadline: August 30, 2026 The project is expected to be completed on or before August 30, 2026. The Town of Milliken reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to further Negotiate with the successful Contractor, and to waive informalities and irregularities in proposals received, and to accept any portion of the proposal if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town to do so.
