The Washington State Growth Management Act requires that new growth and development pay a proportionate share of the cost of new facilities needed to serve the growth and development; therefore, the Council adopts this update to assess updated school impacts fees as a non-project action under RCW 82.02. This proposal involves the adoption of the Kent School District Six-Year Capital Facilities Plan for 2024-2025 to 2030-2031, associated School Impact Fees for the Cities of Covington, Renton, Auburn, Black Diamond, Maple Valley and SeaTac as jurisdictions within the Kent School district service area by December 31, 2025, effective for the years 2025-2031, or until another update is proposed before 2031. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
