Hangar expansion may include demolition or relocation of existing infrastructure along the back wall, such as indoor plumbing, insulation, lighting, electrical panels, and pedestrian door. The project involves installation of 750 square feet of new concrete foundation and slab with 4,000 psi mix concrete at 6-inch depth, 750 square feet of building expansion, removal and reinstallation of overhead door and roll-up door tracks, installation of a roof to provide a weathertight building, and installation of typical metal building insulation on siding and roof. Construction managers are required to make a site visit to examine existing conditions and ensure familiarity with their statement of qualifications submittal. Required services include meeting with the Owner and Engineer to discuss airport requirements, obtaining all necessary permits and inspections, providing weekly construction updates, certified payrolls and documentation, determining and assisting in approving payment applications for contractors and vendors, and preparing as-built plans, drawings, and completing required close-out documentation. The statement of qualifications must include the name and contact information of the firm or individual, a brief statement of project understanding and coordination procedures, personnel and their experience, list of subcontractors, relevant qualifications, and list of previous related projects. It must be signed by a principal or owner legally able to respond, and be no longer than fifteen (15) pages single-sided.
