Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and travel necessary to perform annual inspection, testing, certification, and classification of laboratory chemical and biological fume hoods, as well as HEPA filter inspection and replacement for two negative air rooms. Services must comply with NSF Standard No. 49, NIH standards, ASHRAE 110 guidelines for fume hoods, and ANSI/ASHRAE/ASHE Standard 170 for negative pressure rooms. HEPA filters and HVAC pre-filters shall be replaced annually, with disposal of old filters handled by the contractor. A comprehensive report detailing deficiencies, corrective actions, airflow rates, and certification results must be submitted within 10 days of testing. Contractor personnel must have at least three years of experience in fume hood and HEPA filter services and attend an orientation covering safety, infection control, and emergency procedures. All work must be coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), performed during normal business hours in January each year, and comply with VA facility policies, safety regulations, and records management requirements.
