Separate sealed bids are requested for the purchase of materials and supplies for an automatic meter reading (AMR) system. Bids may be submitted to the specified office or electronically via the provided website. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier’s check equal to five percent of the bid is required. Minority and women’s business enterprises are encouraged to bid and seek subcontracting or supply opportunities. The awarded contracts are expected to be funded in part by the Mississippi Municipal and County Water Infrastructure grant program and are subject to all applicable legal requirements and Uniform Guidance provisions. The City of Fayette reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, to hold bids for up to sixty days, and to award the contract to the lowest and best bidder compliant with the plans and specifications.
