Scope Includes: Demolition of ceiling tiles, flooring, wall bases New finishes: carpet tile (CPT-2), luxury vinyl tile (LVT-3), paint (PT-1, PT-3, PT-4) New suspended acoustic ceiling systems (ACT-1) at 9'-2" AFF HVAC upgrades: new air devices, flex duct, control integration Electrical upgrades: lighting fixtures, exit signs, fire alarm system (Notifier/Honeywell or compatible) Fire protection: wet sprinkler system (NFPA 13/14), seismic bracing, hydrostatic testing The project is for Roscoe First Floor Office Renovations. The project will be bid as a single lump sum. No bidder may submit more than one bid. Bid documents can be obtained online. A pre-bid conference/on-site inspection is scheduled and, while attendance is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 c. 127 (Affirmative Action); the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act; Statement of Ownership Disclosure; the Public Works Contractor Registration Act; the New Jersey Business Registration of Public Contractors provisions and all amendments thereto. A bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the total bid is required, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond. The successful bidder is required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract, and a Surety Disclosure Statement and Certification form must accompany the performance bond. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder who satisfies the qualification criteria set forth in the contract documents. The College of New Jersey reserves the right to reject all bids or waive any minor informalities in the bidding in accordance with law. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the opening of bids without the consent of The College of New Jersey. Contractors/vendors must take all necessary and responsible steps to ensure opportunities for SBE and DVOB programs as stipulated by law.
