Provide Professional Engineering and Architectural Services Related to the Design and Construction of Jefferson Parish Community Action Program's Head Start Centers on an As Needed Basis. The scope of work associated with this project consists of Architectural and Engineering design work including complete roof replacement, HVAC system upgrades, and improvements for Head Start Centers operated under the Jefferson Community Actions Program (JeffCAP) Department. The scope of the improvements includes design and construction to re-design the HVAC systems to be more energy-efficient and access and replace the roofs of the Centers. JeffCAP is utilizing federal funding for this project and therefore the selected Firm must ensure the construction is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Head Start Performance Standards (45 CFR 1303.44) and 2 CFR Part 200. Jefferson Parish anticipates the project will require the following supplemental services: Civil Engineering, Construction Administration, surveying and resident inspection. Compensation for the required design services will be made on an hourly rate basis or a fixed fee basis, or a combination of both, depending on scope and complexity of the work. The Parish reserves the right to determine the method of payment (hourly or fixed) for each individual assignment. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
