The work includes the felling of approximately sixteen trees marked in orange to be cut 6 inches above the ground with an average diameter at breast height (DBH) ranging from 12 to 24 inches and approximately three trees with a DBH of 36 inches or more; the pruning of approximately five trees marked in green for dead limb safety or view pruning; cutting a 12-foot wide opening through a fallen 40-inch DBH; and chipping of removed limbs and spreading them on site as directed by Scenic Hudson staff. All work is located on property owned by the Village of Highland Falls and/or Scenic Hudson. The extent of the work is flagged on site and shown on the attached plan set, Highland Falls Preserve Site Development Plan prepared by Verity Engineering, DPC, last revised 9/30/2025. Complete bids shall include the contractor's license, sample certificate of general liability, vehicle insurance, and workman's compensation insurance as described in the sample form of contract.
