The Engineer’s estimate is in the range of $1.5 million to $1.7 million. The project involves cleaning and strengthening the existing drainage canal adjacent to Primrose Drive in Luling, LA. The canal has become overgrown with vegetation and has experienced bank failures and erosion at various locations. The work includes strengthening the canal with sheet pile walls and cleaning it where applicable. Additionally, the drainage pump station near the intersection of Lagatutta Drive and Primrose Drive will have its discharge lines rerouted. Bidders must provide a security deposit equal to five percent of the total bid, and the outside of the bid envelope must display the firm's name, Louisiana Contractors License Number, the specified project number, and project title. St. Charles Parish encourages participation from small and minority-owned firms and womens business enterprises, and any bidders needing special accommodations must contact the Parish Council Office in advance. Questions received less than seven (7) working days prior to the date for opening of bids may not be answered *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
