New construction of an approximately 8,850 SF, single story, pre-engineered metal building to function as a fire station. Work includes, but is not limited to: a new 5-bay fire station with live-in function, sleeping quarters, kitchen, restrooms, life-safety generator, and related features. Scopes for bidding include: sitework/earthwork/stormwater, utilities, sanitary sewer, concrete, masonry, structural steel framing, metal building systems, carpentry and millwork, roofing and moisture protection, drywall and metal framing, doors, frames and hardware, overhead electric doors, storefront, tile, flooring, resinous flooring, painting and coatings, waterproofing and caulking, acoustical systems and ceilings, kitchen equipment, landscaping (sodding, seeding, mulch), plumbing, water distribution system, HVAC, electrical, life safety generator, fire alarm, miscellaneous specialties. Bidders must thoroughly review all specifications and drawings for inclusion of all work in their bid. All bidders must be licensed and/or authorized to do business in Florida. Contractors must use the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system to verify employment eligibility of all new employees hired during the term of their agreement. Contractors must provide equal employment opportunities and prohibit discrimination and harassment. Some scopes of work require unit pricing, which must be submitted on the designated Unit Pricing Bid Form. This project requires Certified Payroll reports under Davis-Bacon, and bidders should refer to the specified minimum wage rates. Participation from certified M/W/SBE participants is encouraged.
