Bid date is extended to December 16, 2025. Gadsden Athletic Complex: Foundation and Structure Building Package. Specifications and contract documents are available for inspection at City Hall and electronically at no cost through Robins & Morton's Building Connected platform. All bidders must be registered with Robins & Morton to submit a bid. Bids received from non-qualified bidders will be rejected. Bids must include a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank payable to the City of Gadsden or a bid bond executed by a surety company authorized in Alabama, equal to the lesser of five percent (5%) of the bid or $10,000. The successful bidder is required to provide satisfactory performance and payment bond, as well as evidence of insurance as specified in the bid documents. The bidder must comply with all requirements of Alabama Public Works Bid Law and licensing requirements as a general contractor, including displaying a current license number on the bid. Bidders must certify that they do not and will not maintain segregated facilities and must certify that they will make facilities handicap accessible as required by law. This is a tax-exempt contract. By signing the contract, parties affirm compliance with federal immigration law and the prohibition of employing unauthorized aliens in Alabama. Bidders must meet these and all requirements stated in the bid documents for consideration. Pre-qualification requirements: Prequalification proposals from general contractors must be submitted to Robins & Morton with requirements obtained by written request. All bidders must be registered with Robins & Morton. Any bidder, whether resident or non-resident, must comply with all provisions of relevant Alabama codes for public works and general contractor licensing. A current license number must be included on the bid. All bidders must meet the criteria set forth in the bid documents and prequalification process. Bids from non-qualified bidders will be rejected.
