Sealed bids are invited for the installation of Pump 'A' motor and drive. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the name and address of the bidder and the title of the bid clearly indicated. Only the Township's official Bid Forms included with the specifications are acceptable. Bidders are responsible for timely delivery of their bids. A certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not exceeding twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), must accompany the bid to guarantee contract execution if awarded. If required, a Consent of Surety, agreeing to furnish a performance bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, must be included. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond at the time of contract execution. Bidders must comply with all applicable statutes, laws, and regulations. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities or technicalities in the bids. In the event of tie bids, the Township will decide the award at its sole discretion. SCOPE OF WORK The successful contractor shall install Township supplied variable frequency drive (VFD) and a 400hp motor on Pump 'A' at the Tices Lane Booster Station, 177 Tices Lane, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. Contractor be responsible for transporting the Township supplied variable frequency drive (VFD) and 400hp motor to the site. Installation shall include: o Tracing and labeling all power & control system wiring. o Removal and disposal of old variable frequency drive (VFD) & bypass equipment. o Installation of new variable frequency drive (VFD)/ RVSS equipment. o Wire power feeders into new equipment which may require extensions. o Wire all control circuits to new equipment which may require extensions. o Remove feeder from existing motor and replace with Township supplied motor. o Startup and testing of new system. o Remove and dispose of old drive cabinet and motor
