Department of Health - Public Health Laboratories is located in Shoreline, Washington. The existing waterline is old and in need of repair. North City Water District (NCWD) will not give a water availability certificate for it and the fire department will not sign off on any future permits because of low flow. The line once completed will be turned over to NCWD. The new line must meet all NCWD construction requirements and construction standards. Scope of Work This Request for Qualifications is for the purpose of selecting a Civil Engineering firm for Predesign & Design Services for the Water Supply System located at 1610 NE 150th Street Shoreline WA 98115, WA. This scope of work includes predesign and design services only. State reserves the right to continue with the same firm or select another firm for construction administration and closeout phase. The required addition of water system for the DOH property will be a looped around the DOH - PHL property with 8" or 10" developer's extension. There will be 6" lines from the looped piping that run to the DOH buildings. Connections of the looped system will be to the North City Water District (NCWD) water line located in NE 150th St. Each building will have its own water meter. On the north end of the looped piping there will be extensions with shutoffs valves for future expansion onto the Fircrest School Site. After completion of the project, it will be turned over to the North City Water Department. All new water lines shall meet NCWD development requirements and construction standards. This Project is funded for Pre-Design and Design Services only in the 2025-2027 biennium with construction funding anticipated in 2027-2029 biennium.
