Renovation of a swimming pool in Janesville, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
The City of Janesville is seeking quotes from qualified contractors interested in repainting and recaulking the Rockport Pool. The work shall include all labor, materials, and equipment for the removal and replacement of the caulk and backer rod for expansion joints and perimeter joints; Prepping the surfaces in accordance with the manufacture of the epoxy, which may include: zero-degree angle power washing, and or pressure washing the existing painted concrete surfaces; crack filling; supply and application of 2 coats of epoxy paint on vessel surface with non-slip surface texture where required; repainting of lane lines, targets and Depth texts; Repainting a turtle; and incidentals to complete the work. For further information regarding this RFQ, contact Recreation Director Shelley Slapak at slapaks@ci.janesville.wi.us. The city is requesting work be completed; epoxy, and caulk cured so we can start filling the Main Lap pool with water on May 11th, 2026, Diving Well on May 13th, 2026 and Wading Pool on May 20th, 2026. The city expects to issue a purchase order to the contractor submitting the low quote. The City reserves the right to reject any or all quotes for this work and to not proceed with the project or a portion of the project at its sole discretion.
