The work of the contract is to furnish and deliver pipe, appurtenances, and service materials for water distribution system maintenance in accordance with the requirements of Ridgewood Water, Ridgewood, New Jersey 07450, as needed and described in the contract specifications. Instructions to bidders: - Bid packages may be obtained electronically by email request or in person for a non-refundable fee, with procedures provided for both methods. - No bid packages will be distributed after a specified date and time; all bidders must be on record of having requested the package to be eligible. - Bids may be submitted in person or by mail and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the name of the bidder and specific endorsements. - Bids must include all required forms as outlined in the bid package; other forms will not be accepted. Prices must be net and exclusive of all Federal, State, and Local Sales and Excise Taxes. - The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, or to accept the bid judged to best serve the Village’s interest. No bids may be withdrawn for sixty days after opening. - Bidders or their insurance/surety companies not chartered in New Jersey must provide proper certificates for authorization to do business in the state. - Bidders must comply with requirements regarding Affirmative Action and equal employment opportunity as described in the contract documents.
