Escambia County Waste Services is requesting quotes to grind down concrete rubble accumulated at the Perdido Landfill. Waste Services provides disposal of clean concrete generated from construction and demolition activities, stockpiles it onsite, and requests crushing when sufficient material has accumulated. The quantity of uncrushed material is approximately 5,100 tons, but this amount is not guaranteed and may increase or decrease. A portion of the rubble, to be determined by the County, will remain uncrushed. The rubble pile contains minimal brick, asphalt, metal, and rebar, with pieces ranging from 4 to 30 inches in thickness. No transportation or hauling outside the working area is required. The contractor is responsible for supplying a written quote, reviewing the Waste Services Crushed Concrete Operations Plan, providing all necessary equipment, labor, and materials to crush the rubble to 1-1/2 inch minus base material, ensuring equipment can accurately weigh materials and providing up-to-date calibration documentation, supplying daily quantities crushed to site personnel, removing non-concrete rubbish and setting it aside for County disposal, providing dust and noise suppression as needed, working during normal business hours unless otherwise approved, giving a timeline for mobilization, operations, and demobilization, and submitting a final invoice upon completion of work. The rubble pile may be viewed during normal operating hours at Perdido Landfill. Review Waste Services Crushed Concrete Operations Plan in solicitation attachments. Supply all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to crush rubble to 1 1/2" minus base material. Have equipment capable of accurately weighing materials. Contractor shall supply documentation(s) of up-to-date calibration(s). Provide daily quantities crushed to site personnel for tracking. Remove any non-concrete rubbish from pile and set to the side for disposal by the County. This may include metal, wood, trash, plastic, or cardboard. This will be at no cost to the Contractor. Supply adequate dust and noise suppression as necessary. Crushing operations shall only be performed during normal business hours, unless otherwise approved by Waste Services. Provide a general timeline for mobilization, crushing, and demobilization. Provide a final invoice at the completion of work. Waste Services will be responsible for: Ensuring an area large enough to store Contractor equipment that is suitable for heavy equipment. Providing a cleared area for the crushed rubble to be safely and properly stockpiled near Contractor operations. Pay for crushed concrete based on weight verification process. If after hours access to the above-mentioned site is necessary for the Contractor for maintenance, they shall schedule in advance with site contacts.
