The work shall consist essentially of the following items: pavement removal, base repairs, 610 limestone, asphalt, concrete curb and gutter, and concrete driveway replacement. All work will be in accordance with the City of Gulfport Construction Standards and MDOT's Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (current edition) as specified in the Contract Documents. Bids will be received from a single prime Contractor. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form and bid award will be to the lowest and best bid submitted. Bid documents are available via digital copy. Interested bidders may email the Purchasing Agent or download the documents. All inquiries regarding this bid should be directed in writing to the Purchasing Agent. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. For bids exceeding $50,000.00, the Bidder must indicate their Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed proposal as required by Mississippi law. Any bid submitted by a nonresident contractor which does not include the nonresident contractor's current state law pertaining to such state's treatment of nonresident contractors shall be rejected and not considered for award. If no such law exists, the nonresident contractor may provide a statement to that effect. Direct contact with any City employee, GRC Commissioners, including Administration and City Council, on the subject of this proposal is strictly forbidden.
