Sealed bids for the Post-Tension Concrete Pickleball Courts Project will be received from a single prime Contractor. The bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form, and award will be given to the lowest and best bid submitted. Specified bid security must be furnished. For bids over $50,000, the Bidder must indicate their Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed proposal as required by law. Nonresident contractors must include their current state law regarding nonresident contractors or a statement if no such law exists. Bids may not be withdrawn within ninety days after opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or reject any or all bids. Direct contact with any City employee, GRC Commissioners, Administration, or City Council regarding this proposal is forbidden and will result in disqualification. Only the full sets of bidding documents as issued are valid for bidding. 1. Walking Path Removal and Reroute 1.1. Remove the existing walking path. 1.2. Reroute and construct a new concrete walking path approximately 50 feet in length and 6 feet in width. 2. Light Pole Removal and Lighting Maintenance 2.1. Remove one existing light pole. 2.2. All electrical work shall be performed by a certified, licensed electrician. 2.3. Contractor shall ensure that lighting in the remaining park areas is maintained and remains operational, if applicable, throughout construction. 3. Site Preparation 3.1. Level the ground and bring in necessary fill material to raise the area approximately 1 foot above the existing elevation. 3.2. Prepare the site for new construction in accordance with applicable standards. 4. Concrete Pad Installation 4.1. Install a 120' x 60' post-tensioned concrete pad, 5 inches thick. 4.2. Apply an approved pickleball court coating system and complete all required striping. 5. Court Equipment and Fencing 5.1. Install four (4) pickleball net sleeves embedded in the concrete. 5.2. Install fencing surrounding the entire set of four courts (not individual fencing around each court). 5.3. Fencing must be embedded in the concrete. 6. Debris Removal and Disposal 6.1. Remove and dispose of all debris generated during construction operations, including material from the existing site. 6.2. All disposal shall comply with local and state regulations. 6.3. The contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with removal and disposal. 6.4.
