Project consists of repairs and restoration of several buildings at the maintenance campus of the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport. The buildings will be reclad in metal panels on all exterior walls. The main building will be reroofed with an alternate to add further roof scope to the project. The project also includes extensive painting. Exposed steel will be cleaned and repainted in areas exposed to elements. Brick and other assorted finishes will also be painted. Additive Alternate No. 01: Reroof of Building B. 1. Alternate Description. This alternate consists of Reroof of Building B with TPO Roof. Additive Alternate No. 02: Overlay Roof on Buildings C, D, and E. 1. Alternate Description: This alternate consists of additional TPO Roof Overlay on Buildings C, D, and E as shown in the documents. The contract time for the base bid is 120 consecutive calendar days. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per calendar day will be assessed for each calendar day thereafter. No questions will be accepted after 5:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2026, to allow the Architect adequate time to prepare any necessary addenda. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors establishing classification as to the value and type of construction work on which he is authorized to bid. Bids must be submitted on the standard form of bid proposal and must include a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Bid. The successful bidder will be required to execute the standard form of Contract and Agreement, together with a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond, within 10 days after formal award of the contract. If the bid is being submitted electronically, originals of the bid bond, signed or countersigned by a Mississippi Resident Agent, with Power of Attorney attached, a cashier's check or certified check for five percent of bid, payable to the Owner must be delivered to the Gulfport-Biloxi Regional Airport Authority within forty-eight hours of the bid opening time and date. Bidders must guarantee to hold their bids good and may not withdraw for a period of 90 calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. All bidders must be properly licensed contractors at the time of submitting bids in accordance with the State of Mississippi. Contractors submitting a written sealed bid must indicate their current Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility number on the outside of the sealed envelope as well as on their bid. If submitting electronically, the number must be included as an attachment as well as on the bid. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the designated website.
