Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Sausalito, California. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.

The selected consultant must have the ability and experience to provide comprehensive technical and administrative assistance for the project. The consultant must demonstrate the capacity to work with City representatives, citizens, professional service consultants, designers and engineers, estimators, and/or construction companies related to the project. The selected consultant ("Consultant") must have the ability and experience to provide comprehensive technical and administrative assistance for the Project. The Consultant must demonstrate the capacity to work with City representatives, citizens, professional service consultants, designers and engineers, estimators, and/or construction companies related to the Project. The Consultant will provide the following services to the City (as further detailed in Section 6 (Scope of Services) below): The City of Sausalito invites proposals from qualified teams of Traffic Engineers and designers to evaluate existing pedestrian traffic on Bridgeway and Richardson St. and develop conceptual engineering designs that address pedestrian access/movement across Bridgeway between Princess St. and Richardson St. and across Richardson St. at Second St. Proposals should emphasize: Pedestrian Safety - Examination of existing pedestrian behavior and critical safety concerns to determine possible solutions that reduce pedestrian vulnerabilities and improve their ability to cross the roadway at multiple locations while minimizing impacts to existing on-street parking. The examination of the existing conditions and the proposed solutions must be submitted to the City in the form of a well-rounded study report and conceptual plans. Emergency Service Access - Design strategies should take into consideration that the intent of the layout of this corridor, when built, was to utilize the existing at-grade concrete median for emergency response. The community considersthisto be of critical importance. Any improvementsto the center median must take this into account and be accompanied by a thorough analysis of the impacts on emergency service access through this corridor
