Bids are requested for the Eisenhower State Office Building 3rd Floor East Remodel, BLDG NO.: 17300-00004, in Topeka, Kansas. Award will be a single contract for the project as a whole, including general, demolition, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and security work. Bidders must submit on the official Form of Bid and include identification of major subcontractors for mechanical and electrical construction. Bidders may be required to provide proof of qualifications, which can include registration with state authorities, evidence of business permanence, a list of comparable projects, financial statements, compliance reports, and, if applicable, licenses for asbestos removal. All bidders are responsible for examining all construction contract documents and visiting the site to verify conditions prior to bidding. The bid must include all costs necessary to complete the work as specified, including labor, materials, equipment, fees, taxes, insurances, contingencies, overhead, and profit. Questions about contract documents must be submitted in writing at least ten days before bid opening. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty of five percent of the base bid. Successful bidders will be required to enter into a contract, provide proof of insurance, performance and public works bonds, and all required documentation within fifteen calendar days of receipt.
