Site work for a water / sewer project in Handley, West Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The Town of Handley Sanitary Board is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms for engineering study, design, and construction management services. The purpose is to rehabilitate existing force and gravity main lines to extend the life of the Town's sanitary sewer collection system. The selected firm will be required to: (1) complete studies to assess current conditions; (2) prepare preliminary engineering reports and facilities plans acceptable to state funding agencies; (3) design and prepare construction drawings, bid specifications, and bid documents; (4) assist in the procurement of construction contracts; (5) monitor and inspect construction activities for compliance; (6) review and approve contractor's pay estimates; and (7) provide any other needed services for successful project implementation. The firm will remain involved throughout all phases of the project. Interested consultants must submit a statement of interest detailing qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capacity, and related prior experience. All work must comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprise and Affirmative Action requirements.
