The work involves upgrades to the West Aeration Basin Complex at the Water Pollution Control Plant and is generally described as follows: upgrades to the aeration diffusers and low pressure piping feeding Aeration Basin 7, 8, and 9, with the Owner furnishing aeration diffusers and flow control valves; design of a pipe support and thermal expansion system; and additional upgrades to wastewater treatment facilities including structural, electrical, and instrumentation and control. All work is to be performed in accordance with the bidding documents. Bidders must furnish all labor, insurance, equipment, materials, and power for the complete performance of this project. Bidding and submission must be completed online through the specified partner. No bid will be accepted from entities in arrears to the city, those who have previously failed to execute contracts satisfactorily, are in default to the city, or are engaged in litigation with the city. Bidders must download the bid documents electronically through QuestCDN, which is required for this project. The successful bidder must furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each in the amount of no less than 100 percent of the contract price. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids for non-compliance with applicable laws or the instructions to bidders and may waive any defect in bids.
