Sealed proposals are invited for the Proposed Cedar Street Parking Lot for The University of North Alabama. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to The University of North Alabama in an amount not less than five percent of the bid amount, and not more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and proof of insurance as indicated in the bid documents are required upon contract signing. Drawings and specifications can be viewed at the office of Civil Group, LLC or online at www.gocivilgroup.com. Bid Documents can be obtained from the Engineer for a $100 deposit per set, refundable for up to three sets to each general contract bidder submitting a bona fide bid, upon return in good condition within ten days of the bid date. Additional sets for contractors, subcontractors, and dealers can be obtained with the same deposit, refundable less costs for printing, handling, and distribution. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms from the Engineer. Bidders exceeding the limit set by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed as per Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show this license on the outside of the sealed bid envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if it benefits the Owner. Time is of the essence. The successful bidder will have 15 days to return the signed contract with bonds and insurance. A notice to proceed will be issued within 15 days after completion of contract execution.
