Site work for a water / sewer project in Florence, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
In general, the project includes approximately 5,000 linear feet of 2" PE gas main, 1,900 linear feet of 4" PE gas main, 98 service connections and associated service lines, and connection to existing gas mains. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price or $10,000 payable without recourse. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of 50% of the contract price upon the forms provided. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, and Bond Agents should be familiar with Alabama competitive bid laws and state law governing general contractors. Preference shall be given to resident contractors as defined by applicable Alabama law. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities deemed to be in the best interests of the Owner, and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty days from the date set for receiving the bids.
