The work for this project located on Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI includes installation of a new pre-fabricated/pre-engineered, drainable, dryable, testable underground piping system. The steam and condensate lines will be installed in the existing location of the present lines as much as possible. All pipe expansions shall be accommodated using expansion loops. Sections of sidewalks, roads, and pavement areas scheduled for demolition to install new steam or condensate lines shall be demolished. All surface and subsurface conditions shall be restored. Hazardous materials in the excavation area will be abated. Only contractors on the DB/DBB IDIQ Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) 8(a) AOR Newport, RI and New London, CT are allowed to bid: Addon Services, LLC; Armitage SAI JV; Blackhorse Construction Group; CCI Facility Support Services, LLC; Doyon Management Service, LLC.
