Renovation of a military facility in Newport, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Installation includes connecting to the building’s existing hydronic system to pipe hot water to the two new unit heaters to be installed in the boat bay. A nearby panel will be used to support the power requirements of the two new unit heaters, a circulating pump and other ancillary components as necessary to provide for a complete and usable system. Insulation of the inside walls, roof, and other surfaces with exposure to the outside will also be required. Gaps between the current corrugated steel envelope will be filled before applying the insulation, unless the insulation is able to permanently seal any voids. Small existing holes will also be repaired to the extent that the insulation can similarly seal around the repairs. Insulation will be sprayed on and covered with a fire resistant coating (see included attachments). The thickness of the insulation will be at least 4 inches in the roof area and 3 inches on the wall and other vertical surfaces
