Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Fairhope, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade municipal facility.

The notice to proceed has not been issued at this time.* The project entails the purchase and installation of one new 150 kW natural gas generator for the Baldwin County Fairhope Satellite Courthouse located in Fairhope, Alabama for the Baldwin County Commission. Bids are to be submitted to the Purchasing Office and conform to the requirements and specifications provided in the bid package. Delivery and installation shall be as soon as possible after the receipt of order, but no more than forty (40) days. SCOPE OF WORK A. The work described by these specifications includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, testing, and training to provide a complete and workable power system, including but not limited to the generator, the controller, and delivery and installation as specified herein. It is the intent of these specifications to have a single source responsibility for the generator. That is, the power system shall be finished by a single contractor who shall be responsible for the design, coordination, and testing of the complete system. All equipment shall be new and of current production of a national firm that manufactures generator sets and controls, switchgear, and/or associated accessories. The contractor shall be responsible for removing the existing (old) diesel generator and diesel fuel tank located at the Baldwin County Fairhope Satellite Courthouse, 1100 Fairhope Avenue, Fairhope, AL 36532 and placing the existing (old) diesel generator and existing (old) diesel fuel tank on a truck or trailer for hauling away by County staff. The new natural gas generator will be placed on the existing concrete pad. Fairhope Public Utilities will then install the natural gas meter and regulator, and the contractor will make at least one return visit to the site complete the installation, including but not limited to connection of the natural gas meter and regulator to the new natural gas generator. The contractor is strongly encouraged to visit the site and becomebfamiliar with the existing generator screen walls, overall access to the site, and become aware of the means and methods required to deliver and place the new natural gas generator as well as place and operate any lifting equipment needed for removal of the existing (old) diesel generator and existing (old) diesel fuel tank and placement of the new natural gas generator. The scope of work regarding the generator is further detailed below. 1. Generator: Provide and install a standby power system to supply electrical power in event of failure of normal supply, consisting of a liquid cooled natural gas engine, an AC alternator and system controls with all necessary accessories for a complete operating system. Generator will be connected to an existing transfer switch.
