Sealed bids are invited for the City of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Lake Charles Event Center ADA Railing and Seating, CP 9778 project. Bids must be submitted using the designated bid forms, and contractor license numbers are required on paper bid envelopes. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered. Bidders can examine contract documents at the architect's office and may obtain copies at no cost. Bids must include a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the base bid and all alternates, issued by an appropriately licensed and rated company. Performance and payment bonds for 100% of contract amount are required from the successful bidder. Contractors must be properly licensed, with specific licensure guidelines provided, and must certify compliance. Bids will be evaluated on the lowest responsible bid that meets specifications. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Contractors must ensure nondiscrimination in employment.
