Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Petoskey, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 10,000-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The City of Petoskey is seeking qualifications from a skateboard park design-build firm or team to replace existing equipment on a 10,000 square foot concrete pad. The Contractor must provide comprehensive professional services including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and turnkey construction for a permanent skate park at Petoskey Riverbend Park, not to exceed a total cost of $300,000. The project will include new features for the skate park and use high-quality materials to ensure durability and longevity. The terrain will be a mix of street and transition styles, with elements for all age groups and ability levels. The scope includes information gathering, site review, design workshops with the local wheeled sports community, production and revision of schematic designs, preparation of estimated construction costs, and a complete construction document package. The Contractor may suggest a modified scope as part of their proposal. Written proposals must be submitted using CITY bid forms in a sealed envelope marked for the project, and no emailed or faxed proposals will be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award in the best interest of the City.
