The purpose of the project is to replace and reconfigure the 4 Interior Header for the landfill gas collection system at Cedar Hills Regional Landfill. The work includes but is not limited to decommissioning of existing HDPE piping, installation of new HDPE piping, excavation, geosynthetic repair/restoration, installation of valve assemblies, condensate, and well head controls, stormwater piping, and surface restoration. A. A summary of work for the 4 Interior Gas Header Pipe Replacement includes but is not limited to furnishing and installing the following components: 1. Decommissioning 7612 ft of existing HDPE pipe. 2. 3,279 ft of 4-INCH diameter HDPE gas pipe. 3. 137 ft of 6-INCH diameter HDPE gas pipe. 4. Ditch and road crossings for 6-INCH diameter pipe. 5. 2,698 ft of 8-INCH diameter HDPE gas pipe. 6. Ditch and road crossings for 8-INCH diameter pipe, 7. Isolation valves and sample ports for 8-INCH diameter pipe. 8. 8,575 ft of 24-INCH diameter HDPE gas pipe. 9. Ditch and road crossings for 24-INCH diameter pipe. 10. Repair of final cover with geosynthetics for road and ditch crossings. 11. Isolation valves and sample ports for 24-INCH diameter pipe. 12. Cleanout access ports for 24-INCH diameter pipe. 13. Connection to existing 22-INCH AND 24-INCH diameter pipes. 14. Geosynthetics repair. 15. Condensate dropout cross and condensate drain trap. 16. 453 ft of 6-INCH diameter HDPE condensate pipe. 17. Isolation valve assembly for 6-INCH diameter pipe. 18. Well head control assemblies for horizontal gas wells and vertical gas wells. 19. Manifold connections to gas header pipes. 20. Remote well head control assemblies for remote vertical gas well and horizontal gas collector. 21. Stormwater pipe, 18 in. diameter CPEP. 22. Vegetative soil cover, surface restoration, and hydroseeding with bonded fiber matrix. B. A summary of work for the Additional Items of the 4 Interior Gas Header Pipe Replacement includes but is not limited to furnishing and installing the following components: 1. 8,575 ft of 4-INCH diameter HDPE leachate discharge pipe. 2. 8,575 ft of 4-INCH diameter HDPE air supply pipe. A. Work includes: 1. Demolition of structures, utilities, and other Site features as indicated on the Contract Drawings. 2. Removal and salvage/disposal of underground pipes. 3. Removal and salvage of crushed surfacing base course. 4. Removal and salvage of quarry spalls. 5. Removal and recycling of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) pavement. 6. Removal and recycling of concrete. 7. Removal of demolition debris. B. Protection of construction to remain, including: 1. Utilities to remain. 2. Existing geomembrane cover and lining systems. 3. Other items indicated. C. Condition of existing features to be demolished: 1. Owner assumes no responsibility for actual condition of features to be demolished. 2. Conditions existing at time of inspection for bidding purposes will be maintained by Owner insofar as practicable.
