The Work shall be completed within 390 working days from the date of Notice to Proceed in which the City is prepared to issue as soon as December 2026. The Work shall consist of fur-nishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental thereto for: The project will provide a pedestrian bridge across SR 169 near SE 258th Street and will include a new covered main span over the highway, ADA approach ramps on both sides, staircases, electrical, lighting, landscaping. irrigation, drainage, utility relo cations, a new driveway cut onto SR 169, and a play area. The work includes, but is not limited to the following: Bridge and approach ramp construction, including piers and abutments Drilled shaft construction Civil site work Landscaping and irrigation Electrical and electrical coordination with PSE Lighting Railings Stormwater conveyance and treatment facilities Waterline Relocation Coordination with Play Area Contractor This project is federally, state, and locally funded. The City of Maple Valley appreciates partnerships with the Federal Highway Administration and the Transportation Alternatives Program, Washington State's Move Ahead Washington and Public Works Board, and King County Parks. The estimated cost of this proj ect is in the range of $10 to $12 million. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check. cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of such bid proposal, including sales tax. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Contract Documents, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Maple Valley. Small, minority and women-owned business are encouraged to participate in the bidding as prime contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregu-larities in the bid or in the bidding process, and make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
