Sealed proposals will be received to furnish various materials and supplies requisitioned by the Howard County Highway Engineer for use in General Maintenance and Local Road and Street Projects. Each item must be submitted on a separate bid form. Each bid must include a separate bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the submitted bid, with a minimum of $1,000.00 if no specified amount is bid. A certified check is required with each bid from bidders not having their principal place of business in the State of Indiana, as well as those who do have their principal place of business in Indiana. Bids must be sealed and clearly identified on the outside of the envelope. Escalator clauses may be used in bids as per specifications. The specifications and time schedule are on file in the County Engineer's Office. Bids not conforming to these conditions will be returned unopened. The commissioners reserve the right to hold all bids under advisement for up to sixty days, to waive any irregularities in the bidding process, and to reject any or all bids.
