Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Port Huron, Michigan. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Furnish all labor, material, and equipment required for the design and furnishings as specified. Provide a design package for new graphics and paint, incorporating school colors, logo, and mascot per the enclosed style guide. Graphics décor design and paint plan for walls must be "to scale" when submitted. Graphics material and installation are required. Paint services and supplies may be included, but if not, the owner will be responsible for them. Provide materials and labor warranty, minimum required. Contractors must visit the site to become familiar with the project. Work must be scheduled around the school calendar and completed preferably before June 30, 2026. All OSHA safety regulations must be followed. All permits and certifications are the contractor's responsibility. Work must be bid using current prevailing wage rates in the State of Michigan, and proof of prevailing wage rates must be provided when requesting payment. The contractor is responsible for obtaining and complying with all permits and all applicable local, state, and federal codes, including scheduling all inspections, storage, handling, and disposal of materials. A 5% bid bond is required with bid submission, and performance and labor bonds are required upon project award, with the cost included in the bid. Materials may be stored on site in an Owner-designated area until project completion, after which the contractor must thoroughly clean all related areas. Any work not included within the specifications that is required or needed must be brought to the attention of the owner at the time of RFP. Instructions to bidders include: - Submit sealed proposals labeled as directed. - No faxed proposals will be accepted. - Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 5% of the base bid. - Winning bidder must furnish performance and labor & material payment bonds, cost included in bid. - Submit required sworn and notarized statements disclosing any familial relationships and certifying compliance with state laws regarding Iran-linked businesses and criminal background checks. - Contractors and subcontractors must keep posted prevailing wage rates and maintain accurate payroll records on site. - Five years' experience is preferred with references.
