Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Arcadia, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners utilizing Federal Funds for a Local Agency Program (LAP) are seeking formal Bids from qualified firms and/or individuals for Sidewalk Construction Services on C.R. 760A as indicated within the context of this Bid. Liquidated Damages: A specific sum stated in the Contract to be paid by the CONTRACTOR to the COUNTY in settlement for damages and/or breach of Contract. Bid Bond: An insurance agreement, accompanied by a monetary commitment, by which a third party (the Surety) accepts liability and guarantees that the bidder will not withdraw the bid. The Bidder will furnish bonds as required, and if the Contract is awarded to the Bidder, the Bidder will accept the Contract as Bid, or else the Surety will pay a specific amount. Bid Security: A good faith deposit or Bid Security shall be made payable to DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners, in the minimum amount of five (5%) of the proposal sum. Security shall be Certified Treasurer's Check or Bank Draft, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Florida and meeting the minimum requirements set forth by the County. Payment Bond: A Bond, which assures payments, as required by law, to all persons supplying labor or material for the completion of Work under the Contract. Awarded Contractor will be required to acquire a Payment Bond for this Project. Performance Bond: A Bond executed subsequent to award by a successful Bidder, to protect the COUNTY from loss due to the Bidder's inability to complete the Contract as agreed. This Bond secures the fulfillment of all Contract Requirements. Awarded Contractor will be required to acquire a Performance Bond for this Project. Such records will be maintained for five (5) years after the completion of the Work and until claims or audit findings have been resolved which were initiated prior to the expiration of the five (5) year period.
